Overall great place to stay. I will say, I was a bit skeptical based on previous reviews I read but I was happy with the decision to give them a try. My ONLY complaint would be that the door was really tight, difficult to open/shut. The room was nice(loved the flooring), the bathroom was small, but for me, not a problem at all. And the pool was great(the pool bar too)! We will be back!
Decided to try this place out this weekend. Our first room was nice. It was very spacious and clean. Had a minor problem with the bathtub not draining, and they fixed it very quickly. The next day we had gone out and came back and we're not able to get into our room due to a mechanical problem with the lock. The staff was quick to address the problem, and after a little time, we were able to get into our room. Due to the issue, we had to get switched to another room. The staff was extremely apologetic and friendly the entire time, even though the problem was a bit hectic, and they were dealing with a wedding at the same time. The new room was also very clean and looked nice. Other than my personal experience, this place has a lot to offer. Not even a minute walk from the beach, access to a pool and workout room, bikes for free rent, corn hole boards, lounge chairs, and hammocks. Also this is located only minutes from local dining and shopping, with a few places of entertainment nearby as well. If I ever plan a beach weekend, the Islander will be first choice for sure!
Handicapped room new. Very nice. Bathroom was extremely hot. No working vent. Shower chair too far away from the water flow. Seat was very slippery. Needed to sit on a small towel to prevent falling. I give the bathroom in the handicapped room (301) a - rating. Otherwise very clean, the help extremely helpful friendly. A wonderful atmosphere. I would return.
Stayed here several nights before my daughters wedding. The staff couldn't have been any nicer and were so kind to our whole family and friends. We are already planning next years stay. Best place to stay on Emerald Isle. Kelly, thank you so much for everything. You just went out of your way to make us feel welcome. Also Dixon for working with us so everyone could stay there. Thank all of you everything!
This place was amazing! Not only is it located directly on the beach but the swimming pool area was incredible and just feet away from the parking lot they have a small arcade and water park! Great place for a family trip!
